West Indies Squad For World Cup 2011


Ramnaresh Sarwan is called for 2011 World Cup

West Indies Middle order batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan is called for 2011 World Cup. He is selected in world cup squad for West Indies. He is out of team for more then six moths. He played for West Indies in last June and after that he is not with team as he was having some fitness issues.

The team announced for West Indies for world cup 2011 includes Darren Sammy , Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Devon Smith, Sulieman Benn, Nikita Miller, Carlton Baugh (wk), Andre Rusell, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Adrian Barath.

Sammy is retained as captain for West Indies. He took charge from C Gale. Selectors are satisfied with the team and said that they have selected the best team and the team will perform well for West Indies in world cup. Selectors also said that the team is blend of youth and experience and they are hoping for good results.

Sarwan is out of West Indies for long time and he has to prove his fitness once again. He was also offered the contract last year by WICB. Sarwan has not played a test match for more then a year. His inclusion in the team will strengthen the batting line.
