Team Group

There were lot of lessons were learnt in the 2007 World Cup which was held in West Indies. There were too many matches. This time ICC has come up with a short World Cup. They have only 2 Groups

Group Name	Team Names
Group A	Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya
Group B	Bangladesh, England, India, South Africa, West Indies, Ireland, Netherlands

There are 7 Teams in each group. In the first round, Each team of a Group will play with other teams within the same group. It means each team will play 6 matches.

After the end of first round, only 4 teams will go to next round Quarter Final and 3 teams will be eliminated.

In the 2nd round (Quarter Finals), 4 Teams will advance to Semi Finals and 4 Teams will be eliminated.

Winners of 2 Semi Finalists Teams will then play the Final and lift the ICC World Cup 2011
